Study: Climate change puts outdoor economy in peril

University of Massachusetts-Amherst researchers have found average annual temperatures in New England have risen faster than the global average. The impacts on outdoor recreation vary: for example, fewer days of snowfall and more frequent tropical storms, but also warmer waters attracting popular sport fish like the black sea bass.
